Aiming for lower impact
We realise that everything we do, screws something up. As a company, we have to recognise that. There simply is no perfect marketing company. So let's be honest with ourselves and with our customers about that.

What we are doing at thisbluedot is trying to find ways to lessen that impact. Where we are now isn't where we want to be. And that will probably always be the case. But, as a company, we should always think that we can do it better.

We can't say that our products are carbon neutral yet, because we are not fully convinced that there is a trusted set of guidelines to follow. So we make no such claim until we can be sure.

That means that we write our own guidelines as we go along. For a small company that is a big project. How do you measure all the mileage the delivery trucks have to make to get the printed materials to the end user? Which inks are good, which inks are bad? Which is the better recycled paper? How wasteful is our server? To these questions and more, we're working on finding the answers. And in the process, we hope we can bring our customers with us, to help shape a more sustainable world.

The most important thing is that we have started on a journey. To run a business in an as low-impact way as we can. We are always looking for new ways to try to tread more carefully, so if you have any ideas on how we can do it better, we're all ears!
